Summer Internship Ministry of Worship on the Water/ Hope Community Church

Mission:

Shaping the Next Generation of World-Class Leaders for The Kingdom of God

Vision:

We envision an eleven-week ministry laboratory operating May 2024.

Objectives:

  1. To shape the next generation of leaders with the DNA of HCC and with a Biblical world-view
  2. To help interns clarify their vocational calling
  3. To expose the interns to a “behind the scenes” look at the development of a church
  4. To vet potential staff members for HCC and other churches
  5. To provide our HCC ministries with staffing to help to achieve ministry goals

Orientation:

The internship begins with a mandatory orientation scheduled for May 19-20th and concludes August 4th

An Intern’s weekly schedule:

Schedules will vary due to the specific ministry area. The intern will be working directly with the Pastor/Director over that ministry area. The intern will work at least 25 hours each week. The intern will have another job for 20 hours each week. The intern will experience 11 weekly coaching conversations and an exit interview with a Vision Ventures Coach.

Reading Required:

The intern will read two books over the summer and will submit a 5 page review of each book.
One book will be Real Life Discipleship by Jim Putman and the other will be a book on Spiritual Leadership and will be chosen at a later date.
The Intern will read the Gospel of Mark and will complete the Real Life Discipleship Training manual as their personal devotion throughout the summer.

Stipend:

A stipend of $150.00 per week will be provided and a gift of $500.00 will be given to the intern prior to their last Sunday.

Application Process:

An application and background check will be completed and approved by Pastor Carl Martin or a designated member of the HCC team prior to acceptance in the PURSUE summer experience.
